An international Ipsos survey revealed in March 2024 that 55% of French people regularly reflect on their mental health.

Women and Generation Z
This trend is clearly on the rise, particularly among women and Generation Z, where 63% consider this a priority. Stress, depression, and anxiety have become daily challenges for a significant portion of the population.

Stress affects one-third of French people
The Dentsu Insights study shows that one-third of French people suffer from stress-related problems and that a quarter have already experienced a depressive episode. According to Public Health France, 12% of adults over 18 have experienced depression in the past year, and 16% have suffered from anxiety.

A major impact on health
Even more significantly, 4% of adults have considered suicide. Inflation and the rising cost of living also have a major impact on the mental health of the French, affecting their access to medical care and their medication consumption.

The Cost of Treatment: A Barrier
21% of French people use medication to manage their stress or depression, while 27% rely on their loved ones for support. However, the cost of treatment leads some to self-medicate or forgo medical consultations.
